I meant to post this yesterday in honor of Valentine's day, but we ended up having a busy day with basketball and running errands and by the time I had free time, I was headed to curl up with a book in bed.
In honor of Valentine's Day, my gift for you is some artwork - yeah! I know I have been promising so I thought today would be a great day to share this card with you.
I made this card for a make and take at a recent gathering I held. I just love it because it is so versatile - it can be used any time of the year. This stamp set is great too not only is this cute little owl part of the set, but there is a little owl and some mushrooms - very retro. The design of the card is based loosely on a card created by a fellow CTMH consultant (Vicki Wi).
Supplies used:
Stamps - Whoo Loves You (CTMH)
Ribbon - Twill (CTMH)
Paper - CS (Honey, Indian Corn Blue, Cocoa, Hollyhock) Patterned (Magic Moments MR Lvl 2 CTMH)
Ink - Cocoa, Honey, Hollyhock (CTMH)
Other - Window Charms (CTMH) - on yellow circle, round punch (Fiskars)

Can I have this dance?
Last Friday was the annual Father/Daughter dance held in our town. Bob and Kelsey have gone for the past 5 years or so. It is their special time together. Moms are NOT allowed anywhere near the building. I love helping Kelsey pick out her dress and doing her hair (although it doesn't last more than 15 minutes when she starts bouncing around). Kelsey's best friend has been going with her Dad over the years as well and her little group has since grown.
I hope these will be memories that she will remember for ever because she will always be Daddy's Little Girl.
Note: As I have been a bad blogger and Project 365 poster, this picture is actually out of order...but then I have skipped a whole bunch anyway that I haven't posted...so please, excuse my tardiness...just this once.

And the Walls Came Tumbling Down....
Are you singing it yet? "when the walls came tumbling down, when the walls came tumbling...." I have been since about noon today and not because I am a Def Leppard fan or anything...but they really, truly did...or I should clarify that the roof came tumbling down.
Yep, you heard me...the roof.
Today's picture is not what I wanted for the picture of the day...funny thing is, I was outside getting ready to take the intended picture of the day when I got sidetracked by a very loud noise. Thinking that the snow on the roof of the garage had finally melted and fallen off due to the heat wave we have been having, I moved out of the way so that I didn't get caught in the avalanche when it fell off the front. After a few minutes, I realized the snow wasn't moving off that roof and went into the house to see if the snow fell off the back...I didn't get far to realize that the noise was snow falling - but not off the roof...but with the roof - right into my house!
We have a screened in sun porch off the back of the mudroom...my favorite place to read a book in the Spring, Summer and warmer Fall nights - especially in a rain storm - well, that porch does not exist as it did just this morning anymore...so with that I give you 042/365:

and a couple more for a better view:
This one is from my bedroom window. Pretty huh? This is actually from on the porch - a great view of the Hot Tub - now doesn't that look inviting?
We are waiting for the Insurance Adjuster to call...keep your fingers crossed that we can claim this and have it fixed. I am impatient as it is - a need it done now type of girl - and waiting for Spring for this monstrous mess to be cleaned up is going to kill me...I just hope we don't have to foot the whole bill.
